Many people today believe that there is some magic
'money fairy' buzzing around out there just waiting
to give money away for doing nothing. Why is that?
Don't you remember what your mother used to tell
you, and I quote, "You can't get something for
nothing." What your mother told you is true, you
can't get something for nothing….It's a simple law
of nature. If you want to lose weight, you have to
eat right and exercise. If you want to have a better
relationship with your spouse, you have to work at
it. If you want more money, you have to make some
changes. It's that simple.
There are companies as
well as individuals out there making all kinds of
claims about all sorts of things. Think about it.
Every day we are inundated with people claiming to
have the 'secret' to making more money, and
invariably this way of making money will be as
simple and easy to do as putting on your pants in
the morning. We all see this sort of thing, but the
problem is that we also tend to believe it!
That's the reason this article is being written.
To let everyone know, once and for all, that these
claims of easy riches aren't true. There is no
"money fairy" out there that is going to suddenly
give you money. It simply is not a reality. Making
money takes effort, and many times that effort is
out of your comfort zone. That is, it will take you
doing things differently than you've ever done them
before. Keep in mind the old quote, "If you continue
to do what you've always done, you'll continue to
get what you've always got." In a nutshell, that
quote explains it.
The bottom line is that we can all give up the
idea, once and for all, that we are going to receive
something for nothing. Whatever we want to achieve
will take effort in some way shape and form, and in
most instances that effort will be different than
things we have done before. Think about it, if the
things you have been doing worked so well, why would
you even be reading an article like this?
So let's all stop waiting for the magic 'money
fairy' and get to work. Find an idea that interests
you, and go with it. There are a million ways to
make your idea work, and waiting for the 'money
fairy' should not be one of them. Remember what
Henry David Thoreau said, "Rather than love, than
money, than fame, give me truth." And the truth is
that there is no 'money fairy', so just get over it.
