our mailboxes.
My Prayer Rugs, (work at home craft
program) is no longer able to financially keep this site open or to
continue running this business. We have taken a great loss
financially, and we are deeply sorry that we can no longer offer
this work-at-home opportunity. But more importantly, we are
sorry that we have put our at-home contractors in this
situation.
In December of 2006 the company began
marketing this work at home program online to long distance workers.
Shortly, after the company realized, that the cost of shipping
supplies to at-home workers and having to reimburse the workers to
ship supplies back, was a great expense, and cause the at-home
workers a great deal of dissatisfaction in having to wait for their
work supplies to be processed.
In 2007, the work at home division
implement a new program that would allow workers to purchase their
own supplies and be reimbursed by the company, cutting down on the
expense of shipping, and allow the worker more freedom in not having
to wait for their supplies.
This we assumed would fix the problem,
however many workers did not want to do this, and therefore we were
left with the same expense of having to pay full shipping one way
and partial return shipping. The funds were just not available
and this caused a collapse in the work at home program.
On July 22nd we opened the option to
refund request, based on the return of supplies, hoping that we
could at least save some part of the program and have supplies for
the local workers.
We have waited over thirty days and have
only received 3 returns. We processed these refunds and paid
other outstanding expenses, and now we are officially closing our
doors, as of September 1, 2007.
Please know that all workers will receive a
1099 as required.
Again, we are deeply sorrowed that we were
unable to continue in business.
